Each year members of the RPB participate in the global movement, @1000hoursoutside. This is a great way encourage and inspire one another to get outdoors together!

📖 Created by Ginny Yurich, a Michigan mom of five, as a way to influence families to immerse themselves into nature, and step away from screens. 1000 Hours Outdoors has grown immensely in popularity, reaching over 500k followers and inspiring millions to spend more time with their families outdoors.

🛝 The idea behind the mission isn't to reach 1000 hours outside. Instead, many look at it as a way to set a goal for their families to be more intentional with choosing green time over screen time. Though some can reach 1000 hours outside in 1 year, others may opt for 250, 500, 750, etc. Whatever it is, if you make intentional trips outside with your kiddos, you have succeeded!

⛺️There are many ways to get those hours in. Playground trips, hiking, pretend outdoor play, camping, outdoor crafts, gardening etc. the possibilities are endless.

✏️ Tracking your hours is easy! From printable sheets, posters, and digital apps you can track your outdoor progress in hour intervals. Each team member tracks differently! Choose what's best for your family.

Today, the Mendon Town Board unveiled a new splash

Today, the Mendon Town Board unveiled a new splash park which sits next to a Military Memorial dedicated to the memory and sacrifice of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christian Koch, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Steven Skoda, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Prial who tragically lost their lives in a Helicopter crash in January 2021

A memorial service will be held here on June 11 at 11:00. During that time, the splash pad will be shut down.

⏰ Bathrooms and Splash Pad are open 10am- 8pm

💲FREE and open to the public!

💦 This splash pad is unique with a large dumping bucket, water canons, a crab and turtle apparatus and so much more.

🌳The splash pad is in direct sun, however there is a pavilion nearby for shade!

🛝 There is a playground, tennis courts and hiking trails just down the road at 95 Semmel Rd, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472

Greece’s “Wild Over Water Zone” is an amazin

Greece’s “Wild Over Water Zone” is an amazing summer resource that you have to take advantage of on hot days!

📍 3 Vince Tofany Blvd, Rochester, NY 14612

⏰ 10AM - 7PM Everyday through Labor Day.

💲FREE for Greece residents with valid ID. Non-residents can still play for $5 per child. Please note that the splash pad is cash only payments. An updated key tag is required. Bracelets will be used for re-entry.

💦 The splash pad is many adorable water features that are great across many ages! The play area it’s large and has a side walk all around it for those that want to keep a close eye on their kiddos without getting wet.

👟 No running is allowed for safety of all guests.

👶🏽 Children under 4 years old must wear a swim diaper.

🐕 No pets are allowed in the splash pad or surrounding areas.

🚻 There’s a bathroom shelter a short walk away!

🛝 The splash pad is conveniently located right next to the Kids Canyon playground!

🕶️ Shaded areas underneath umbrellas are available on a first come first serve bases.

Kids Canyon is a fantastic playground that will allow your child to explore both their physical abilities and imaginations!

🔒Kids Canyon is fully fenced in with only one exit making it perfect for families with littles.

🛝This playground has an abundance of climbing structures and free space for kids to play. There is a tandem adult and child swing. As well as a large and small slide for kiddos of different abilities.

💲 The playground is free to enter! There is a fee to use the adjacent splash pad. Details on the splash pad coming soon!

🚻 There's a bathroom shelter a short walk away!

🧺Picnic tables are provided for your convenience!

🕶️ While the playground itself has no shade, there is a seating area just outside of the gate underneath umbrellas.

📚Check out the little free library right next to the playground’s gate.

💦 The town hall’s splash pad is right next door to the playground!

📖 The town library is just a short walk away from the playground!

👟There is a 1/2 mile story book walking trail that loops around the property that is stroller friendly!
