This park has a lot of potential with a big pond for fishing and a beautiful lodge with well maintained public restrooms. Along with the playground, there is a short trail that loops through the woods. The park is off of Westfall Rd with a lot of businesses nearby. It’s a good spot to stop amongst running errands.

The Playground

What a fun place to stop amongst the hustle and bustle of Brighton! This playground has multiple play areas, baby swings, and a fire truck steering wheel stop. Though the playground is near the parking lot, the parking lot is well removed from the busy road. There is also a lot of open space for running around. . During our Fall 2020 visit, part of the playground was broken and fenced off leaving a good section of the playground unusable. That said, there is a pond and hiking trails nearby to visit as well.

The Hiking

There is a short natural trail that horseshoes near the playground as well as a a blacktop walkway located to the west of the lodge will lead you to the NYS Erie Canal Path. The black top walkway takes you past the 12 acre pond and is wheel friendly! The wooded trail is quick, easy and flat. Keep an eye out for poison ivy!

The Venue

There is a beautiful lodge in front of the 12 acre pond and a short walk away from the playground at Brighton Town Park. This lodge holds up to 100 people and also houses restrooms available to the public. The is also an open air pavilion with picnic tables.
