The typical playground, hiking trails and Wild Wings Facilities are driving distance from one another.

Northampton Park is a Monroe County Park that encompasses Springdale Farm and the new Alpine Adventure Zone! If heading to the farm, the playground near Springdale Farm is the first thing you see upon entering the parking lot but there is so much more! Check back here for details regarding the farm as they develop with the ongoing changes of the pandemic. Note, dogs are allowed at Northampton Park but not within Springdale Farm.

Just outside of Brockport is the quaint town of Holley and within this town is the beautiful Holley Canal Falls. The park is free to enter and has easy views of the waterfall and canal trail. A hidden playground can be found here as well!

Schoen Place is probably one of the most popular spots to stroll the canal in Rochester. With many dining spots, Ice Cream, Lock 32 Brewery and shops, it’s a go-to walk on a summer’s day. This spot also often hosts free summer concerts and is a great spot to feed the ducks.

The Humphrey Nature Center has a beautiful display of interactive and educational materials. Located right nearby, is the newly built Autism Nature Trail. From Rochester, the trip to the Humphrey Nature Center at Letchworth State Park is a little over an hour drive – but boy is it worth it!

Tucked away in Naples, NY Grimes Glen is one of the more frequented gully’s in the Greater Rochester area, and for good reason! There are paths that follow the stream with two beautiful waterfalls to discover.

Located in Ontario County, Ontario Pathways is a 23 mile long trail for walking, hiking, and biking with much to explore. There are three additional loops for hiking only. The trail is open year round from dawn to dusk and is free to the general public to use. You can also visit in the winter months for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
