Center Park West is the perfect park for variety of ages as well as a fun family outing. After playing on the large, multi-age-level playground and children can enjoy a walk along the path. If you’ve completed the playground and story path, you can keep going to enjoy some light hiking through the wooded trails. The fun continues as this park also hosts concerts on Sundays and has great sledding in the winter. The parking lot is off of Ayrault Road. Bathrooms are seasonal.

Take Me There
The Playground
Center Park West has a large and well loved playground. There is a very tall and steep slide for the older kids and a smaller area for the younger kids- A great spot for a play date with kids of varying ages. Seating near playground is limited as well as shaded areas so pack those sun hats. The town has added two shaded areas but bring your own chairs!

The Story Trail
Center Park was once home to a story trail that stretched from the parking lot to the outdoor concert area. The story path has since been taking down, but we will update if it comes back! In the meantime-a different story path can be found within the Perinton Community Center Building, just up the hill from the playground.
The Hiking
There are short, flat paths that lead through a small amount of woods behind the playground at Center Park West. These paths are stroller friendly and lead to the paved “Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern Trail.” There is also a “Wegmans Hit the Trail Passport” stop shortly into one of the paths (Be sure to print the sheet and pack a crayon or pencil!). On the way to the paths, you will pass by the outdoor concert area. The seating area consists of benches built into the hill which creates a fun area for the kids to climb on when not in use. It may just tire them out before they reach any trails! Maps for trails can be found in the Recreation Center.

The Summer Concerts
Head to Center Park for free outdoor concerts and food trucks on Sunday evenings in the summer. Check the schedule here.

The Sledding
This sledding hill isn’t too populated and great for a wide range of ages. Walk towards the playground from the parking lot and head behind the lodge to reach the bottom of the hill.

The Venue
There is an open air pavilion with bathrooms, picnic tables and a grill available. It is a short walk away from the parking lot and playground. Check here for Facility Rental Information.
