Edmund Lyon Park is spacious and contains both a splash pad and playground. The park is very dog friendly and has a lot of open space for playing and frisbee. Also within the park is a basketball court and baseball field. The nearby pool is open to the public with daily or monthly passes. There is plenty of seating near the splash pad with picnic tables and grills and one shaded area. Park in the parking lot off of Madison Street to bring you closest to the play areas.

The Playground
This playground is not too far from the library in the Village of East Rochester and is easy to get to with sidewalks along the way. The park itself is very beautiful with a nice balance of old trees and open space. The playground is spread out with activities for the variety of age groups. There is limited seating near the playground. The nearby school (which goes year round) shares the playground and splash pad so it may become extra busy at times and there is often a crowd of older kids on the playground after school hours. That said, there is plenty of room within the park to spread out.

The Splash pad
There is a fun pirate-themed splash pad at Edmund Lyon Park in East Rochester. The splash pad surface is slippery so wear water shoes or sandals! Though there is a bathroom on site, it’s on the other side of the park so it’s probably easiest to come with the kids dressed and ready to go! There are moving water canons and random water fountains that shoot up so keep a watchful eye! The splash pad is free for all to enter.

The Pool
The heated Kate Gleason Memorial Outdoor Pool is located at 109 East Ave, just across from the Splash Pad. During the summer, the pool is available for certified swim lessons and open swim. Walk-ins are $5 per visit with season passes and punch passes also available. Head HERE for more details and to purchase your passes.
The Sledding
There is a small bank along the perimeter of Edmund Lyon that is great for the younger kids to use as a sledding hill. In the winter of 2020, a Sled Library could be found within the park. We are hoping this continues year after year!
The Park
Edmund Lyon is a lovely Park to stroll, walk the dog, play frisbee of practice riding the bike! This park is great for all ages! Bring some books! There’s a Little Free Library located near the bathroom shelter,
