Hamlin Beach State Park is divided into 4 areas: Area 1 has many play structures and walking paths along the lake, Area two has beautiful lodges to rent and beach access (no swimming), Areas 3 and 4 has a swimming beach and another unguarded beach can be found at Area 5. The Park is open year round with a car entrance fee during swimming season. Be sure to also check out the playground behind the Hamlin Library when in the area!

Take Me There
Area One
This area that you first see upon entering the park is open year round and has several play apparatuses. It has one main playground area and many more swings and slides scattered throughout with a beautiful view of the lake. There are baby swings and typical swings here. You can easily walk along the beach to the other areas within the park. There is a year round restrooms available at the front of Area 1 and hiking at Yanty Marsh.


Yanty Marsh is one of the first areas you will see once you enter the park. This is an easy trail and great for all! It is stroller friendly when dry, but a stroller is not recommend on a muddy day. The highlight of this hike is the board walk! See what kind of birds you can spot here!


Area Two
A short walk from area 1. Area 2 offers beautiful views of the beach and plenty of sand to play in. There are many picnic tables here as well. However, swimming is not permitted in this area. The playground at area 3 is a short walk down the beach.




Area 3
Swimming is permitted in area 3 with Lifeguards on duty. Swimming is open daily from mid-June to Labor Day. Fishing is also allowed in area 3; The pond can be found a short walk from the beach area, west of the bath house. There is also a playground here! The playground is not far from the beach, bathhouse and concession stand. It consists of multiple slides, unique bucket swings, two tier tunnels and several picnic tables.



Area Four
There is another swimming beach at area 4 allowing a good amount of space to spread out! Another concession stand can be found here as well.
Area Five
The Devil’s Nose Hiking Trail can be found at Area 5 along with the unguarded beach. Check the Trail Map before heading out.
