The Hiking

Helmer Nature Center is roughly a 1.5 mile trail. You will find s boardwalk, bridges and even stone throughout the easy to follow trails. It is a great area to search for wildlife with the kids, like birds and toads. The main trail leads from the parking lot, and is sandwiched between two sport fields. It brings you back into a large wooded area that is loaded with fun hiking trails to explore. The kids will have fun with all of the open space to run around. Though the terrain is easy, it is not stroller friendly. Two outhouses can be found right behind the shed before you get into the woods.  Trail Map & Site Guidelines
