Humboldt Rec is a city gem as it features a splash pad and playground open to the public. The splash pad has multiple fountains making this a great spray ground for kids that like to run around and through the water. Along with the playground, there is a large yard that is fenced in near the splash pad that also has several trees for shade!

The Playground

Though the splash pad is the highlight here, there is a playground nearby to dry off before heading home. The playground has typical swings and baby swings as well as slides and monkey bars. An outhouse is available as well as restrooms within the recreation center when open.

The Splash Pad

The splash pad is free to enter and a membership is not required. This is a favorite splash pad for those that don’t like to be caught by surprise by the spraying water. Most of the fountains are consistent or predictable. Except for a couple spots of spraying water from the ground. The fountains are tall so you aren’t likely to get too much in your face by surprise. There is a misting area as well which the kids love. There is a large yard that is fenced in near the splash pad that also has several trees for shade!  As this splash pad is part of the rec center, it can become crowded when programs are in session and there is limited parking within the parking lot.
