John L Brown Memorial Park is an adorable location with much to offer!  The playground is actually two in one.  Within the play area there are diggers, baby swings and lots of room to run around.

Playground 1

The first playground is for the little ones! They have age appropriate equipment, lots to climb on and it’s also semi shaded. They have mulch diggers and baby swings as well as a rock wall cave to climb on and into.

Playground 2

At the second playground you will find larger equipment as well as a huge slide! They also have basketball hoops, lots of swings and a ton of space to run around.

Pooh Sticks Bridge

The bridge adjoining the playground and ball fields is perfect for Pooh Sticks! Also bring some food for the ducks, there is a family that lives in the creek behind the playground. You never know when you will see them!

The Hiking

Beyond the baseball fields at the back near the brush you will find a hidden gem still within the John L Brown Memorial Park! This hiking trail was set up a few years ago the local Boy Scout troop who made a lovely trail to enjoy the wooded area of the park. The Dr. Henry Foster Trail is a short trail and very easy for young children to explore.

Please note the best place to park your car is across the street at the library. The only other parking lot is near the baseball fields on the other side of the bridge which is a bit of a walk. There are also restrooms at the park but they are not always accessible. The library will let you use theirs if you need a nearby location.
