The Mendon Community Playground is one of the few surviving wooden playgrounds in the area and is in great shape! The playground is vast leaving a lot for children to explore. This playground may be hard to see from the road as it is tucked behind Saint Catherine of Siena Church.

The Playground

Mendon Community Playground has a sandbox, tire swings and many fun bridges and stairs. There is a stage area and wooden car as well. Bring toys for the sandbox! This playground is best for a cool fall or spring day as the metal slides can get quite hot and there is little shade. Also, there have been reports of bees at this playground. However, it seems short lived as the playground is well maintained.

There is no public bathroom nearby but a gas station isn’t too far away. There is a single round picnic table here with some benches as well.

This is a great playground for a game of hide and seek or “The floor is lava.” Be sure to check out the Little Free Library! It is located along the parking lot. Drop a comment below if the library is low on children’s books and we will be sure to fill it up!
