Newark Public Library is located right in the heart of Newark, New York. Here you will find lots of fun things to do, a clock museum and a huge variety of books on hand! Because it is such a quaint town, you are five minutes away from the local coffee shop (Grind On), grocery stores, restaurants, playgrounds and gazebo (which has great music in the summer for free!).

Take Me There
The Children’s Section
Nestled among the younger reader section of the library you will find lots of fun activities to keep children engaged as well as a play zone, video gaming area and just a place to relax and put your feet up with a good book.

Some favorite activities include the magnetic table, puzzles and kitchen as well as a “touch me” wall for non walkers to enjoy some tactile play!



The Teen Zone
Adjacent to the Children’s section in Newark Public Library you will find the Teen Zone. Here, there is a great number of advanced reader books, accessible computers, and a place to relax with comfy chair surrounded by books in a safe space.
The Hoffman Clock Museum
Be sure to check out the Hoffman Clock Museum hidden INSIDE the library! This fun museum is up on the first floor in the adult area located by the check out desk. The museum has approximately 300 different clocks on display and which “ding and dong” on the hour. It’s sure to delight anyone in the close vicinity on the first floor. It is free to enter and donations are encouraged.
