A great destination for a stroll along the pier, a visit to the beach or a ride on a historic carousel. Ontario Beach Park is along the Genesee Riverway Trail and therefore can be a stop along your stroll from Turning Point Park, among others. Many dining options surround this beach, including Abbott’s. A playground can also be found within the park.

The Beach
This beach is free to enter with plenty of sand to play in! Swimming is allowed daily 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the summer. For water conditions call 585 753-5887. The swimming season at Ontario Beach Park is open from the Friday after Father’s Day until Labor Day. Free swimming lessons are offered every for kids 5 years old and up. Please call the beach hot line to be sure swimming is open. Life jackets, kickboards, floats, water toys, sand toys, footballs, etc. are all available free to borrow from the lifeguard staff. Dogs are not allowed.


The Playground
A playground can be found just a short walk from the beach. There are baby swings and typical swings here as well as several slides and tunnels. There are two play structures for varying age groups. The playground is partially shaded with plenty of picnic opportunities around.



The Carousel
There is a carousel right on the beach at Ontario Beach Park! It opens late June to early September, 12:00pm-7:00pm and is open 7 days a week. It is just $1 to ride. (Children 2 and under ride for free with a paying adult.)
This carousel is unique in that it contains cats, deer, giraffe, goat. lion, mules, ostrich, pig and other animals along with the stand horses. The carousel has also been modified to accommodate ADA accessibility.
