The Playground

If you are looking for a fenced in playground that is impossible to escape- this is the one! From the outside, it may seem exclusive with it being fully gated with a child-proof latch, but it is open to the public! This playground is best suited for older kids with taller slides and climbing/balancing structures. The playground is part of the Perinton Community Center so it may be in use by the programs there. However, there is plenty to do within the rec center and Center Park with another playground (not fenced in but well removed from the parking lot and street) is just down the road! Bathrooms can be found within the recreation center.

The Open Gym

Bring your 1-5 year old for open play in the gymnasium.  There are mats, ride on cars, slides, basketball hoops and even a ball pit! The wide open area is a great way for kids to burn energy in a controlled environment. Preschooler and Parent Drop-In Gym happens on weekday mornings. Check Here for schedule details. You do not register for this event. Just walk in and pay at the lower level desk!

The Aquatics Center

This recreation center has an indoor pool and water play area. It’s a great way to spend a cold winter’s day! There is a fee to enter and and scheduled times to use the pool. This area can also be reserved for private events.

Preschool Splash is a good time to explore the play area of the pool. Check Here for the schedule! No registration needed. Just walk in and pay at the lower level! Call ahead to confirm.

The Sledding

There is a large sledding hill behind the Community Center. It isn’t too populated and great for a wide range of ages. It is easiest to access by parking in the parking lot of Center Park off Ayrault Rd. Walk towards the playground from the parking lot and head behind the lodge to reach the bottom of the hill.
