? Take Me There
The Playground
Not to be confused with the playground behind The Greece Assembly of God Church, the playground st Sawyer Park is found by taking the road into the park all the way back. The park is very secluded and not heavily populated. Therefore, it is best to be enjoyed with a group. If visiting outside of school and church hours there is a small footbridge across the street that will be you across the baseball field and to the playground behind the church.
The Hiking
There are simple and flat trails at this park. You will find disc golf and creek access along the trails. The terrain is flat but some trails can get narrow.
The Creek
Not only does Sawyer Park have a wonderful playground, but also hiking trails with creek access. We love the creek for its gradual slope into the water and the still and shallow water. To get to the creek, take road all the way back to the pavillions. Many head here in search of crayfish!
The Venue
There is an open air pavilion available for rent here that holds up to 60 people. It is located centrally among the bathrooms, playgrounds and creek. A great spot for family reunions and birthday parties! $60/resident, $90 non-resident
