The Semmel Road Park playground is partially shaded and near the towns highway department so you are likely to spot some heavy equipment! This is also one of the few playgrounds with one of those cars kiddos can sit in! Continue the fun by exploring the fenced in tennis and basketball courts as well as walking paths through the woods.

Take Me There
The Playground
Semmel Road Park is a hidden gem between Honeoye Falls and Mendon. The playground is in great shape with a zipline, spring car, spring dinosaur, climbing rock, a tunnel and many slides. There are no swings here other than a single stand up swing. There are seasonal restrooms nearby. Be sure to pack a lunch! There are two picnic tables on site and plenty of open field space.

The playing doesn’t end there. Pack some balls and if the courts are open, enjoy running around the fenced in Basketball Court and Tennis Court. Next, take a spin around the baseball diamond. All are in close proximity to one another and would make a great spot for continued play or driving around an RC car.

The Hiking
There are mowed trails that can be found lining the woods. These paths provide hiking through the fields and marsh lands. The trails can get muddy and much of the hike is in open sun. We enjoyed spotting thistles and milkweed along the way!

The Ice Skating
In the winter months, the basketball court is flooded for free ice skating!
