There is so much to be explored at Corbett Park. Along with the playground, there is a pavilion with picnic tables and grills and a walking path to a pond. There are large fields far from the road for running and frisbee as well as views of the Erie Canal and some calisthenics equipment further beyond the playground. There are no bathroom facilities at the park but the village of Brockport is just minutes away. The parking lot can be found off of Clark St.

Schoen Place is probably one of the most popular spots to stroll the canal in Rochester. With many dining spots, Ice Cream, Lock 32 Brewery and shops, it’s a go-to walk on a summer’s day. This spot also often hosts free summer concerts and is a great spot to feed the ducks.

Perinton Park is a lovely park for kids and adults alike. As the park is along the canal, one can find plenty to do from fishing to biking to strolling the canal path. Not too far from the canal is a tennis court and basketball court creating a safe barrier from the canal for the large playground. The park is full of large trees, picnic tables and grills creating a wonderful picnic opportunity. The park features both a pavilion and a lodge for party opportunities. The park and restrooms are well maintained and parking is plentiful.

This is a fun seasonal trail with flower enthusiasts in mind. The Trail itself is not long but there is so many little pockets of information you will be there awhile seeing everything. The layout is rustic but the paths are wide and flat for anyone who needs wheel access.

Genesee Valley Park has it all including cricket, fishing, geocaching, hiking, kayaking, and two playgrounds! The park is located along the Genesee River and walkers and bikers can cross over the river on a pedestrian bridge to get to the other side of the park.

Great Embankment Park is a large park with much to do. Located along the canal, the park was originally an ideal spot for fishing, strolling the canal and easy kayak/canoe access. The park is often a very popular spot for soccer/softball/baseball games. It is loved for its vast amount of green space and open fields that make it a perfect spot to play with the dog or fly a kite!

Lauraville Landing

Also known as Assumption Playground, Lauraville Landing is nestled up against the canal and surrounding canal trails. This park features a large playground, story trail, little free library, pavilion with tables, and even fishing access. This is the perfect park to enjoy a picnic and day out with the kids.
