Take Me There

The Pool

Look no further for a hotel with pool in Rochester! This is an indoor pool with a door providing indoor/outdoor access in the summer. There is a hot tub here as well! The outdoor area has a lot of space for lounging in the sun. The pool is currently available by reservation with 15 people allowed in at a time.

The Restaurant

If you are in search of a restaurant with excellent views, run to Horizons at Woodcliff! Horizons is open for dinner – the perfect time to catch the sunset out of their many large windows overlooking the beautiful landscape to a wide open view that reaches the Rochester City skyline! The restaurant also boasts a full bar with a Wine-Spectator-Award-winning wine list. This is a great spot to head for a peaceful night away from the kids. Reservations are required.

The Hiking

You don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the hiking at Horizon Hill Conservation Area. The trailhead at the hotel can be accessed right off of the Horizon Overlook behind the hotel. This is a moderate trail with several hills and narrow paths. It is very well marked but also viewable on Google maps if you get turned around. The trail is a part of the Crescent Trail and therefore if you are really looking for adventure you could follow it for 2+ miles to Kreag Road Park and the Canal. However, you can shorten the hike by choosing from several shortcuts to complete a 3/4 mile, 1 1/4 mile or 1.5 mile loop. This is a heavily wooded trail so you will spot boardwalks and likely wildlife along the way. The trail not stroller friendly so pack the carrier. Trailheads can be found at 151 Garnsey Road in Perinton or behind Woodcliff Hotel and Spa.

The highlight of this hike was the astounding view at Woodcliff and the resting area at Nancy’s Glen (closer to Garnsey Rd). There is a small stream here with mini waterfalls and several benches. It’s a quiet area surrounded by nature and would make a beautiful spot for yoga or meditation. It also makes for a fun spot for the kids to play in the shallow water.

The Views

You may not find better views minutes from town than at Woodcliff. This is a must visit when the sunset paints the sky in the evening. You can grab some food or drinks to watch the sunset at the restaurant or simply pull up to the overlook (accessible to the general public) to take in the view. This is a popular spot for photos in the evening!

The Venue

Woodcliff Hotel and Spa is a beautiful spot to host a wedding any time of year. The newly built tent offers a gorgeous setting for an indoor/outdoor wedding.
